How can anyone believe Obama is a good candidate for the presidency? Obama has no real policies, all he says is we need change. But what is he wanting to change? The American public thought it would be beneficial to accept change by electing a Democratic Congress…. How great has that worked out for us? Say what you want about the war and Bush’s mess ups in public speaking, but when he had a Republican Congress backing him up, we were not in the economic quagmire that we are in now. In his 7 1/2 years as President, our economy was fine the first 6 years. Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high, national gas sold for $2.19 a gallon, unemployment was at 4.5%, and the Dow Industrial Average was at an all time high- over 14,000!!! All this was just a little over a year ago.
Today marks a new year low since the Bear market in the 70s for the Dow Industrial Average, opening today at 8579.19. After 2 weeks of consistent drops in stock prices and several over 500 point drops in the Dow in single day trading. America is growing weaker, along with the rest of the world going down with us. Oh, some of you are blaming all of this on the collapse of the housing market and subquentially the banking industry. Lets not forget which president made it legal for the bundling of subprime loans and selling them as securities to investors…. if you guessed President William Clinton, then you would be correct. Do we really want another Democratic president who is nowhere near as intelligent as the last one, when the last one lead to today’s economic decline? Who knows what decisions Obama will make and their reprecussions when he is out of office? I for one do not want to find out the hard way.
Obama cannot be president. He is an empty suit that has not come straight out and said what he stands for. All we know is he will not pay respect to the flag. As the biggest public servant in America, the president is in the service of the American people. The flag represents this great country and the people in it. If he will not salute or even face the flag when the national anthem is playing, he will not serve the American people and their wishes.
I plead that anyone who is a McCain supporter to convince their Obama supporting friends. And for Obama supporters to come to their senses as to the looming threat his presidency presents. And most importantly, those of you who are still yet undecided to not be suckered into the eloquent speeches of Obama and understand reason.
